Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 July 2026
Odd Studio AI builds tools that run locally on your computer. Privacy isn't a feature we bolted on — it's how the products are built. This policy explains the limited information we and our service providers handle through this website and the purchase process, and what we never touch.
The short version: the content you create with our tools never leaves your computer. We don't see it, store it, or transmit it. The only data we handle is what's needed to sell you a license and run this website.
1. Who we are
Odd Studio AI ("we", "us", "our") operates odd-studio.com and builds the desktop tools described on it. For any privacy question, email [email protected].
2. Local-first: what we don't collect
Our desktop tools process your prompts, models, and generated images, audio, video, and text entirely on your own hardware. We do not receive or store anything you create, and your work is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
3. Information we collect
Purchase information
When you buy a license by card, our reseller Gumroad collects your name, email, and billing and payment details to complete the sale. When you pay with cryptocurrency, you enter your name and email on our own checkout, and the payment is handled by our processor NOWPayments; we receive your email and the transaction details needed to issue your key. Either way we receive a record of the purchase so we can deliver your license and provide support, and we never receive or store your full card number.
License activation
To confirm your license is valid and enforce the device limit, our desktop tools send your license key and a non-identifying hardware fingerprint to our licensing service, together with the IP address inherent in any internet request. We use this only to validate licenses and prevent piracy — it never identifies you, and none of the content you create is ever sent.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive your message and your email address.
In-app contact & updates
Our desktop tools include an optional "Contact" and "Subscribe" feature. If you use it, the message and email address you choose to send are passed through our support relay (a Cloudflare Worker) and emailed to us via Resend, so we can reply or send the updates you asked for. If you don't use it, nothing is sent.
Website contact & newsletter
If you send us a message through the contact form on this website, or give us your email to be notified when we launch, we receive the details you enter — such as your name, email, and message. These pass through our support relay (a Cloudflare Worker) and are delivered to us by email via Resend, so we can reply or send the updates you asked for. We send launch updates only with your consent, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and the site you came from. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes this data on our behalf; see Cookies below.
4. How we use information
- To deliver licenses and provide customer support.
- To process refunds and prevent fraud.
- To understand and improve this website.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
Under UK data protection law, we rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you (to deliver your license and provide support); our legitimate interests (to prevent fraud and to understand and improve this website), balanced against your rights; your consent (for analytics cookies and, if you ask for them, launch updates); and compliance with a legal obligation (for tax and accounting records).
5. Payments
You can pay by card or with cryptocurrency. Card payments are handled by Gumroad, our Merchant of Record, which processes payment, billing, and tax under its own privacy policy and terms (see gumroad.com). Cryptocurrency payments go through our own checkout, using NOWPayments as our payment processor under its own privacy policy; for those orders we are the seller. We never receive or store your full card number or wallet keys.
6. Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. We use:
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) — to count visits and see how the site is used. These are set only after you accept them.
We do not use advertising cookies, and no analytics cookie is set unless you accept. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing this site's stored data in your browser settings, or by declining the next time you are asked; you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
7. Sharing & disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with those who help us run the store and support this site: our reseller Gumroad (card payments — as Merchant of Record it sells the license to you and handles payment as an independent data controller under its own privacy policy), NOWPayments (our cryptocurrency payment processor), Google (analytics), our licensing service and support relay (hosted on Cloudflare), and our email provider Resend (which process data on our behalf). We also disclose data where the law requires it.
8. International transfers
Our service providers, including Gumroad, NOWPayments, and Google, may process data on servers outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent standard contractual clauses.
9. Data retention
We keep purchase and support records only as long as needed for the purchase, support, tax, and legal purposes, and then delete them.
10. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, and object to processing or withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
11. Age requirement (18+)
Our tools and this website are intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the latest revision.
